Hello Families,
This week we learned the letter d. When you say d, the tip
of your tongue touches above your top teeth. Put your hand on your throat and
feel your voice box when you say d. Your throat moves when you say d because
your voice box is on. D is a quick sound. When you practice the sound at home
with your child be sure you are not saying duh.
We are learning to read words. Most of the students have
mastered I and See. We have started working hard on the, like and my. Yea!
Please continue to practice these words at home. You will see some of our work
in Friday Folders. Please reinforce this at home.
Homework!!! Yea!! I love getting completed homework. Please
work on your child’s name and their numbers. Please make sure that you do both
parts of the homework!
Book orders are due by November 21. Books make great gifts.

Field Trip
December 14th we will be going to the Capital in Salem. This
will be an ALL DAY FIELD TRIP!!! We will hear a story and tour the capital
building. If you would like to attend there are a limited number of spots.
Please write a note and return it with Friday Folders.
There will be NO sharing in December!
