FREE LUNCH!!

Free Summer Lunches Available for All Sweet Home Youth

All children between the ages of 1 and 18 are eligible to participate in the Sweet Home School District’s free summer lunch program. Lunches are served on a first-come, first-served basis.

The free meal program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

“The goal is to provide Sweet Home area youth with a good lunch so they can continue nutritious food habits over the summer,” said Food Service Director Milli Horton. “We strive to make the lunches delicious and nutritious.”

Meals will be served Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. beginning July 2 and continuing through August 24 at the following sites:

Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long Street 

Hawthorne Elementary, 3205 Long Street

Oak Heights Elementary, 610 Elm Street 

Pleasant Valley - Little Promises, 28028 Pleasant Valley Rd.

Breakfast will also be served at Little Promises from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. 

On Thursdays from July 5 through August 9, lunch will be served at Sankey Park from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. as part of the City of Sweet Home’s Parks and Recreation Program. 

At all locations, adults may purchase a meal for $2 and eat with their children.
