The duck and the beaver are coming to visit our school on
November 18, 2011. That is this FRIDAY!!! I am super excited. The visit will be in the afternoon.
Morning kids are welcome to come back with their parents and/or families. YOu may come with a friend's parent if that is ok with all the parents involved. You may come back at 12:00 to see the Duck and Beaver load the school bus with all the cans of food. At noon we will be sitting in the hallways to watch the Duck and Beaver (and some of the big kids) carry all the food down the halls and into the bus. This is going to be a very loud but fun time.

Academics are the most important thing we do at Hawthorne. So in order to help maintain some academics for the afternoon kids this is the plan that I created. This allows the afternoon kids to still have their reading block. All morning kids are
welcome to come but they need to come with parents or responsible adult. Morning students will also need to go home with the parent or adult they came with!
