Hello Families,
This week we learned the letter P. When you say p, your lips start out
together. Then they open and a puff of air comes out of your mouth.
Please ask your child if they know any words that start with P. We continued
our study of I and See.
Tuesday was picture day. I can’t wait to see all those smiles!!!
Check
out the orange paper for news about the pumpkin patch field trip on October
18th.
Conferences
are super important! Please make sure you return the conferences form ASAP! I
will send home conference times soon!!!
There
are so many good things in your Friday Folder this week. Be sure to check out
each page.
Reading to your child is one of the best ways for your child to learn to read.
Please take some time to read to your child every night.

Rhyming Word Families
A part of kindergarten is learning rhyming words! Learning
to recognize rhyming patterns in language is a necessary skill for early
readers. As students manipulate words and sounds to create simple rhymes, they
become aware of word and letter patterns that will help them develop decoding
skills. I have included some of the word families below. Please practice these
with your child. This list is just a starting point.
