Lost and Found

Please remember to send your child to school with a warm jacket or sweatshirt. It is cold and wet outside and students are not sent out for recess unless they are dressed appropriately for the weather.

Our Lost and Found is full of unclaimed jackets and sweatshirts so please encourage your child to visit it if any clothing has not returned from school recently.

Want to come look for a lost item? Ask Miss Thompson when you drop off or pick up your child, she can point you in the direction of the lost and found. If you want to stop by today (FRIDAY April 20th) check in at the office and someone can make sure you find the lost and found.

Acution Baskets

Thanks so much to everyone who brought in items for our auction baskets. They are looking great!!

I really appreciate all the support from the families!!

Friday Folder News

Hello Families,
Our letter for the week was Vv. When you say Vv your top teeth touch your bottom lip and your throat moves a little We have been zooming through the alphabet. The only letters we have left are; x and q. The students should know all the letter names and almost all the sounds.
Reading with your child is a great way to help them. The kindergarten students are able to read on their own at this point. Please keep reading at home!
The carnival is coming. MAY 4th from 5:00 – 7:00, Please plan on attending. All items for the baskets should be here already!!! Several families have not brought in their item. You may bring them Friday April 20th. I will be working all day at the school.
I need some parents to volunteer to run a game at the school carnival. Can you sign up for a one hour shift? Send a note back in Friday Folders if you can.
The snow days have forced us to add another day to the end of the school year. Kindergarten kids will now have school on June 12th. NO KINDERGARTEN on June 13th (the 1st – 6th graders will have a half day)
Homework. The back of name homework has sight words. Have your child read these words in addition to writing them! Thanks!
We have been working hard on lots of projects. The students worked on worksheet packets. Some kids did not finished the packet. The packets were put in Friday Folders regardless of the completion.

Thanks
-Miss Thompson

A special visit from some Ducks

One of the kids has baby ducks at her house. The morning class got a special treat when the ducks came for a visit. It was so much fun to see the kids interact with the ducks!

Someone new in kindergarten

These came in the mail this week. Be sure to ask your child if they have seen them in our classroom. I will continue to update families with photos on the blog.

They look so small in this picture, they have already grown a ton!!
